Market Information

Using conventional temperature measurement methods – e.g. permanently installed temperature sensors in the cargo space of trucks - only the ambient temperature is monitored, not the temperature of the cargo itself. The core temperature of the product can be calculated based on the ambient temperature. This method does not prove the required core temperature of the product.

Usually the core temperature of fresh and frozen products is measured by stabbing a special thermometer into the examined foodstuff which leads to the destruction of it.

Even with this method no secured statement regarding proper cooling during the entire logistics chain can be made.

By integrating the sensors into the packaging of foodstuff and pharmaceutical products manufacturers and suppliers are be able to guarantee the correct handling of delivered goods regarding storage and transport temperature easily and inexpensively.
