Dr. Dieter Suess - CEO

teaches computational material science at the Vienna University of Technology.

Dr. Suess explores many issues in nano-technology, including magnetic nano-structures, nano-composite permanent magnets and magneto acoustic sensors. In 2004 Dr. Suess proposed the new magnetic recording media concept "exchange spring media" (See Wikipedia: exchange spring media) which significantly increased the areal density of current hard discs.

Dr. Thomas Schrefl – CTO

is professor of functional materials at the University of Sheffield. From 2000 to 2006, he was leading the micro-magnetism group at the Technical University in Vienna. In 2001 he worked in the IBM labs at Almaden (San Jose) and York Town (New York). In 2000, he was awarded the START Price of the Austrian Science fund. His research interests are spreading beyond micro-magnetic simulations to intelligent materials such as nano-sensor, high frequency oscillators and atomic trap devices for medical applications.

Dr. Florian Bruckner - Project Manager, FEMME

Dr. Florian Bruckner teaching computational material science at the TU – Wien. He performed his PhD thesis about “Multiscale Simulations of Magnetic Nanostructures” where micromagnetic equations are coupled to macroscopic Maxwell equation. He is specialized on highly parallel computing of coupled finite element / boundary element methods, matrix compression and advanced time integration schemes. Florian Bruckner is author of 18 scientific peer reviewed publication.

Dr. Claas Abert - Project Head, magnum.fe

Dr. Abert performed his PhD at the University of Hamburg about “discrete Mathematical Concepts in Micromagnetic Computations”. He is specialized in high performing computing using advanced numerical methods such as solutions of open boundary value problems with focus on finite element methods. Claas Abert teaches computaitonal physics at the TU Wien. Prior to his PhD is was working as an software architect and adyard GmbH, Gruner & Jahr. Claas Abert is author of 11 scientific publications in peer reviewed journals.

Dr. Kamel Ounadjela - Business Development

has spent over 25 years building on a long track record of product development in the semiconductor, magnetic recording and photovoltaic industries. He has been working on device physics, manufacturing management, technology transfer and engineering processes. Prior to founding CaliSolar, Kamel was Senior Director at Cypress Semiconductor, the director of data storage at Veeco Instruments and he was director of research at the CNRS in France. He also holds several patents, has authored over 200 major technical publications, including high impact publications together with the Nobel Laureate Prof. Albert Fert, and has edited three books.

Mag. Stefan Süss - Finance & Legal

is experienced with more than 5 years as Legal Compliance Consultant and as a lawyer at Weiss-Tessbach attorneys. Within SuessCo he is responsible for finance and legal affairs.
